“We loved Susan Levine’s author visit at Pinewoods Elementary. Jenny’s First Catch is a beautiful and educational book. Susan’s presentation on all the steps that are necessary to publish a picture book was so interesting. For me as a teacher, the most challenging part of writing is getting the students to edit and revise their work. Susan blew their minds as she explained all the steps in the editing process and the reasons why they were needed! Students also enjoyed seeing the “signature” from the printing press, learning how books are printed, and learning the secret of why all picture books are 32 pages in length. We can’t wait to have Susan visit Pinewoods again soon!”
